Thu, May 22: LAG B'OMER BONFIRE The Monsey Fire District invites the community to a bonfire in celebration of Lag B'omer, Thursday May 22, 2008, 10:00 p.m. midnight at Welder Park in Monsey( Maple Avenue near Viola Road). There will be separate sections for fathers & sons and for mothers & daughters. Opening remarks by Supervisor Christopher P. St. Lawrence. Words of inspiration by Rabbi Ronald Greenwald, educator and arbitrator. There will be music, singing, dancing and FREE refreshments. Principals, teachers and parents are urged to join in the festivities and to assist in making this a safe and enjoyable gathering. The bonfire will take place rain or shine.
